Once there was magic in the world and the 12 mages rules the land. The gods gave them the secrets of magic to use it to protect human kind from the big beasts that plague the earth.
After defeating the big beasts, the 12 mages went on their own ways and wherever they go they were treated like great heroes. They choose to settle and became the de facto leader of where they are staying.
Over time, the 11 mages became greedy and used magic to start war with one another. Some even dare to teach the secret of magic to normal people to use them as weapons.
Seeing the half death state of the land, the 12th mage came to the gods to seek their forgiveness and help. The gods were so angry but seeing that there is still a single mage who is sincere and humble, the gods choose to help believing that there are still good humans. They bestowed a great power to the 12th mage i order to stop the war.
After the succesful crusade , the 11 mages' capability to weld magic was take away. They and their families was banished to the dark outlands to atone for their sins.
To prevent this situation from happening again, the 12th mage sealed all the magic of the world using the powers of the gods and her body as a vessel. Then she shattered into pieces creating the legendary Quartz Valley.

Many years later, a lady named Letti woke up without any recollection about her own identity. The only clue was a quartz pendant ingrave with the name Leticia. Believing it was her own name.
One day, as she was loss in the forest, she found an ancient ruin.Then her quartz emitted a pillar of light bringing in alot of trouble and few pieces of memory
With her life on the line and the key to her identity, Letti went on a journey to find the quartz valley where the magical quartz possibly came from.

Many years have passed since the war between the humans and monsters. The humans won, and shut the monsters in a place called the underground. Keeping them there with a magical barrier, it took seven usable souls to shatter the barrier, but being monsters, their souls didn't work. Instead, they had to use human souls to break the barrier, and even then, humans were not likely to fall in. Because the human waste system ends up in the underground, the monsters are informed of what's going on up on the surface, and have developed human-like lifestyles, which included scholarship, friendships and the like, but it seemed, that the monsters were eager to get back on the surface again. Six humans were unlucky enough to fall into the underground, and the leader of the monsters, Asgore Dreemurr killed these humans to use their souls for removing the barrier. Asgore thought that those humans were the only ones that would fall in, but he was wrong. Two more humans fell in, but their souls were lost before Asgore could even use them, and those soulless ghosts were doomed to haunt the underground.
