In the final campaign of the Crossroads War, a young soldier deserts his own lines to reunite with his lover, who lives in enemy territory. "Ferdinand... I'll wait for you forever and a day-please return. I love you." Note: This story is another set in Altera, my alternate 19th Century setting. The Crossroads War is roughly equivalent to the Franco-Prussian War (1870-71), and this conflict sees the introduction of the first armored fighting vehicles.All Rights Reserved
