This is a modern college AU where John goes to college to start a new life, so does Alex. When they are forced to dorm together those new lives begin to overlap. At first Alex hates John because he assumes John is just like his father but eventually they become friends - and maybe (Alex hopes) more.

Another god damn college AU. There will be a bunch of ships and problems. It will also be a soulmate AU. You know, the ones where you're grey and so is your clothing and once you and your soulmate kiss or have romantic relations, you get color. It's a bit different for everyone, some people have it once they meet but only like their insides (ex. mouth, eyes) and then the rest of them changes into color once they start dating. (Hamilton College/Band AU) (TRIGGERS: weed, sex toy mention, swearing (I'll add more if I need to) Alexander Hamilton- 19 year old, socially awkward, traumatised orphan from the Caribbean. He's dream finally came true- he got a scholarship to King's College and he's not gonna throw away his shot! John Laurens- 20 years old, has a rich abusive and controlling dad, is a member of a band called The Revolutionary Crew and got into the same college as Alex. He's in the place to be, finally free to do whatever HE wants to do. These two are polar opposites- Alex is a workaholic, John thinks learning is boring, John is a social butterfly, Alex has no friends at all, etc., but both of them share a love for music (that Alex tries to deny). What happens when Alex becomes one of the band members in John's band by accident? Can these two learn something from one another? Or will their differences make it impossible for them to stand each other?
