A whole year has passed after Nya's sacrifice. Many of the Ninja had deserted from the team to do their own personal things, however that wouldn't last too long when they all learn about a Herald buying vengestones and recruiting old villains. And although the powerful Sea Serpent Wojira has been defeated, an even greater and more dangerous power will soon emerge from the shadows and threaten to bring peace in the dark. Not just Ninjago, but all of the 16 Realms. Will the Ninja be the same without Nya? Will they prevail against this Darkness or will they all perish and let everything they have protected so hard be consumed before their very eyes? As the Sons of Darkness and Trynia conquer cities left and right, the ninja and their allies place their hope into the prophecy written on the ancient scroll. The team is stuck in Lost Rock until Lloyd satisfies Ronin, but the other ninja grow concerned as it seems the green ninja's Baddie side is resurfacing. Meet Miku Garmadon, the daughter of Lord Garmadon and younger twin sister to Lloyd. Since her birth, Miku inherited her father's dark elemental powers, resulting the people around her to quickly judge her without getting to know her. The only person who cares about her is her twin brother. The twins spent some time together before Lloyd was sent away to Darkley's School for Bad Boys, leaving Miku in the care of her uncle Wu. She feels empty without her twin brother by her side, but was later introduced to the ninjas, they all welcomed her with opened arms except for the master fire Kai. Lloyd Joins the Dark Side
The ninja finally defeats Lord Garmadon and Lloyd gets his dad back. Everyone is happy again, but the darkness that was in Garmadon finds its way to Lloyd which causes him to slowly become meaner and more emo. The darkness takes full control of Lloyd and makes him just as evil as his dad, but more powerful since he is still the Green Ninja. The rest of the team is left to figure out who and or what is powerful enough to destroy the evilness in him without harming their friend.
