Dan Howell, he hates interacting with people. He's quiet, speechless, secretive, and not-so-loveable. Sure, going out for groceries, clothes, etc, was easy enough. But now, he has gained something worse. Social anxiety. He's stayed inside his flat for nearly two months now. His mum bringing him food because she is worried about him. Now Dan only goes outside either late at night or stays home, either watching tv, going on Tumblr, or having an existential crisis, making his social anxiety worse. Phil Lester, he loves going outdoors. He's outgoing, bright, kind, and lovable all the time. Phil never turns down an outing with friends, he's always up for it. But when he recently had a fight with his best friend, he needed some time alone. He wanders off in the streets of London at 3AM, where he stumbles upon Dan, in a open all night book store. What Phil doesn't know is, Dan might be looking like the confident guy, but really, he always scared on the inside.

DISCLAIMER: This story is mature because it will have some self harm in it. It will also have some swearing due to that's how Dan actually talks. This is not about Phan being real. I'm sorry to disappoint you. Now onto what it is really about: Dan Howell is becoming more and more depressed. His family, his community, not even his best friend, Phil Lester, can help him. He believes he's a lost cause, and he's a mistake. He tries to hide it best he can, but some nights, it's just too much. During this, he's lost his will to smile. He'll fake smiles for videos and pictures, but he's lost a reason to genuinely smile.
