Bella heard the sound of a man approaching, so she hid under a desk. The door opened and in stepped a middle-aged man with neat brown hair and a moustache. The butler. He looked around, making sure nobody was there, and took the gun before going back out. Strange. She didn't have time to think about it though as another person came in. A woman with black hair and black eyes. She also looked around, as the other man but instead of taking something she pulled out her phone, dialled a number, and said, 'It has been done. Potter is dead.' Then, she left. --------------------------Bella Lacroix is one of the best detectives in the London police department. So when there is a murder, she actively tries to catch the real culprit while the police chase the red herring. But nothing is what it seems, and Bella will have to use it all to solve the murder at midnight.

[NOW PUBLISHED BY LIMITLESS PUBLISHING] A deadly game is being played. The question is . . . who will survive? *** As she waits to give her statement in one of the interrogation rooms of Arcata Police Department, Abigale recites the same line over and over inside her head. I did not kill anyone. I did not kill anyone. But there's a trail of bodies, and it leads straight to her. The events that brought her to this very moment all point to one thing . . . her guilt. She must convince Detective Collins of her innocence, but how can she explain her ties to the victims, and the evidence that has her name written all over it? Then there's the mysterious Facebook profile, DarkHeart434. Who is DarkHeart434? And why does it seem like this person has all the answers, including the identity of the real murderer? As pieces of the puzzle start to come together, everything about Abigale's life begins to unravel--her past, her present . . . and even her self-proclaimed innocence. *** Copyright (C) Amy Crandall (xXAmy_CXx) Book Cover Copyright (C) Sparkes #7 in Mystery/Thriller on February 1, 2018 Published to Wattpad on August 10, 2016 Second draft published to Wattpad on July 4, 2017 Published by Limitless Publishing on September 4, 2018
