The "light sides" and "dark sides" are finally getting along. Relationships have sprouted amongst them, Janus and Patton are working together to "parent" the sides, the twins fixed their relationship and work together to annoy the crap out of the others, and virgil's relationship with the "darks" has gone back to normal. Joan and Talyn know about the sides and are usually present for Thomas' dilemmas, and even though the "darks" still live in the deeper mindpalace, everything was right in the mind scape.

Despite countless efforts to appear useful, Logan is still constantly ignored and left out, and hes tired of it. In a moment of blinding anger, he makes the biggest mistake a side could make, setting loose something that ends the peace and begins a fiery empire that causes a raging battle amongst the sides.
