To Coach is written in the eyes of Miss. Invisible, a fifteen year old orphan. Miss. Invisible is not the average teen. In the book, Miss invisible writes about her life. In every chapter she ends it with a Note to Coach, her Algebra teacher. Miss. Invisible writes to Coach to explain to him who she really is and where she comes from. She writes to inform Coach of how greatly he hurt her. Although we do not know what Coach did to Miss Invisible, she ensures that you must keep reading to find out. Miss Invisible struggles to deal with: A mysterious man who wants to kill her, identifying him as R.S.; Her abusive guardian, in which she identifies as Monster; and A heroine addict in which she names Addie. Miss Invisible so clearly loves her best friend, Jamie. And Jamie so clearly loves her. But they refuse to say they are in a relationship despite the relationship-like qualities of their friendship. As the story unfolds you begin to understand what Miss Invisible is dealing with. But a few questions remain: Who is R.S. and why does he want to kill her? What did Miss Invisible ever do to Addie and Monster? Why is Jamie so scared to admit he loves her? Will she try to take her own life? Or will R. S. come back for her? And Will Miss Invisible live to completely tell the tale?

Liv Winters had an unstable past; since she was fifteen, her home had been a hospital, where she slowly recovered from the things that haunted her nightmares and dreams. But that all changed the moment she was let out. Moving into a new house with her alcoholic mother and her supportive brother, Liv now has to face challenges like none she ever had to deal with in hospital: human interaction. Now, Ryelan Montgomery, or "Rye" was considered her new school's God student; everything he was expected to be and more. Smart, sexy, bad, fun, sexy - he was all of these things. Anyone he wanted, anyone at all, he already had. One glance, one touch, one lingering kiss; that's all it took. His mother and father travelled a lot, leaving him a lonely soul in his own house. But someone like him couldn't settle down; it just wasn't in his nature. Liv, though, catches his eye. Is it her long, wavy hair? Or her soft, pink lips? Or maybe it's those haunting eyes of hers, the kind that leave eternal scars? Whatever it its, he's hell-bent on finding out who she is and why she pushes everyone away from her. Out of care or boredom, not even he knew; all he was sure of was that he could get to anyone he wanted, anyone at all. Especially the least expected.
