The Lonely: An Eye See You Novel

How would you feel if you knew once you turn 18, you can finally see what your soulmate sees?
Every single person gets their Sight at 18. They can cover one eye and see what their One True Love, their SOULMATE, sees at that exact moment in time! They are tied together by sight. How amazing is that?!
When you turn 18, you can begin to see what they see, but it's a bit blurry. Give it time and you'll get used to it and be able to hyper-focus on their view and see exactly what they see in detail.
My One? He's in New York City. I can see the signs everywhere. It's easy to make out "I heart NYC" even if it's blurry.
But you only have until you're 21 to find your One. Once you turn 21, you lose your Sight and possibly your One forever.
I've never met someone who lost their Sight and still met their One afterwards..
But I JUST turned 18 about a week ago. My Sight may be blurry, but I still have time before I lose mine. The question is, how do I get to him when I'm 18 and halfway across the country, still in my senior year of high school and trying to go to a college nowhere near NY? Yikes. At least we aren't in different countries.
