Both were raised in the Red Room but had no idea they were related. After Nat had joined the Avengers, she set out to find her one friend from the Red Room. With still no luck finding each other and a few years and battles passed then eventually came a dispute between two of the team members. Specifically Tony Stark AKA Iron Man and Steve Rogers AKA Captain America. Their fight didn't settle easily and eventually started a war. A Civil War.
