Avery is in a criminal gang made of thiefs and street fighters. Surviving on stolen money and illegal trades in the backstreets of the 4th level, she's void of all emotion because 'attachments only make you weak.' She learnt her lesson long ago and never made the same mistake again.

I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) It's been almost a hundred years since Earth's civilizations fell, leaving only ruins and memories. Long before the collapse, they began taking humans, but now, everyone knows who they are and they fear them. The few who manage to return from their captivity tell stories of how these creatures treat humans like animals or children, tending to them like pets or slaves. Most survivors live in hidden cities, avoiding the ancient ruined cities at all costs. But not Jace and his crew. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. I was told by someone I met years ago what really goes on inside the government building, and since have been moved to the poorest part of the "perfect" city. With every passing day, I feel my reality slipping away, fading into darkness and despair, no hope in me ever being normal ever again. I remember the day this all started like it was yesterday. Year 2456 Humans have become so technologically advanced that they are able to manipulate genetics to make humans do amazing and powerful things. Diseases such as AIDs and Cancer are as easily curable as the common cold. But before this flourishment there was....bloodshed. In the year 2252, The United states waged war against other nations, this war raged from 2252 to 2400. Killing billions and destroying the once great United States. The once great country was split into five colonies Montag, Crishun, Pyrin, Sendrill and Kami. Once these colonies formed they had no way of enforcing laws. Well they didn't until a 20-year-old man named Robert Cross came into the colonies, in year 2430, with his latest creation. He was able to create a synthetic human that didn't have the human weaknesses. Sickness, lust, Greed, and death was of no importance to them. After Cross revealed his creation crime rate fell almost all the way to zero. For many years this seemed like the best things ever created by man. Robert Cross was seen as a man who saved these colonies from themselves. He was awarded a Nobel peace prize for his contributions to mankind. After a while Robert became greedy, he didn't want accolades, he wanted power. When the colonies failed to give him so, he seized control instead. He programmed his once amazing creations to attack anyone who got in his way. When he seized control of Kami he created a government he called "The Axis Prime". Cross, with the help of his synthiziods, controls Kami, Montag and Sendrill, his hunger isn't satisfied till he has it all. Many of these colonies people were slaughtered for trying to rebel against Cross. Around the year 2441, he tried to capture the colony Pyrin. Cross felt something odd when the Commander of his synthizoid brigade did not return. He found out of a group trying to liberate the colonies he controlled. My life was supposed to be normal. You're born, raised by good parents, go to school, make friends, graduate, get a job. You create fun memories, find the love of your life, get married, start a family, grow old, and eventually, you breathe your last. That's what life was supposed to be like for me. But instead, my life turned out to be the opposite of normal. And so it was for Chiara, Blake, Jake, Rowan, Nova, and Dijon. To tell our story, we need to go all the way back to the beginning. Before we were even born. It all started 30 years ago. April 5, 2003. a class got into an accident and when the survivors woke up, they realized something was wrong. they got powers , they got taken by scientist who started calling them the hollows. It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? And one more thing before I go-welcome to the world of Dark Light.

100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages.
