But some roses have thornes." - Avyanna Voliantis is the princess of Rhosyna in the great kingdom of Amitha - an empire that once blossomed with magic before all of the mages vanished. Avya is strong, powerful and beautiful. But also deeply feared. At a young age, Avya was already known as the "queen of thornes" for rumouredly having killed all her previous three husbands. Scared that she might face the same destiny as her late mother, the princess of poison fullfills her father's wishes of getting rid of her grooms in order for him to gain more territories and power in the kingdom. One day Avya gets married off to prince Gavril Aldrich of Eira, heir to the throne of the nothern colonial lands. While the king promises himself to annex the greatest weapon nation of the wide lands though the Eiranian folk is known to be extraordinarily barbaric and belligerent, he doesn't realise that the prince is hiding a dangerous secret: All of his previous wives, just like Avya's husband's, have dissapeared under weird circumstanes.
