After being tossed around, sent to different places and families, being ignored like garbage. Lyric Jade Breitner comes to the US as a foreign exchange student from Germany. She shuts herself out from the world so bad, she doesn't even acknowledge her own family. The only time she talks is to get herself out of trouble.
She meets these two guys; Nate Nicholas, the stuck up rich kid that suddenly realizes her presence and Jared Fiorentino, the hot school badboy, and troublemaker that takes a sudden interest in her and finds her extremely appealing. At least she makes one friend Sofia Rodríguez. Lyric just wants to make it for the rest of the year without being eaten alive.
Later on in the school year, a suspicious looking guy comes to town.
