"Hello, Hawks. How have you been?" Iida asks.

Out of necessity, Hawks seems to notice Iida's presence. "I've been good, thanks."

He doesn't bother to return the polite gesture and ask how Iida or Chloe is. Instead, he continues, "So, you two are out doing some grocery shopping? Still roommates, I see."

In the back of Chloe's mind, she realizes that Hawks' head is tilted up to look at Iida. The disparity in their heights is appalling. When she and Hawks were together, she never minded that he was 5'4, but seeing him next to Iida's tall, broad figure is a different story.

"Yes, still roommates," Iida repeats, nodding.

Chloe suddenly feels her heart stir. She's compelled to clarify, "We're together. We have been for a while now, actually."

When Hawks blindsides Chloe by cheating on her three years into their relationship, her best friend Iida is there to pick up the pieces. She slowly realizes that the right man for her had been supporting her from the sidelines all along.

But unbeknownst to the happy couple, Hawks has been stalking Chloe. This fairytale romance may not end with a happily ever after.
