The first official installment of the MNL48 - Manuel Novicio Lacuesta University high school series fully launched on August 2020, it is a novel adaptation based on the 2015 hit South Korean drama series "Who Are You: School 2015" starring Kim So-Hyun, Nam Joo-Hyuk and Yook Sung-jae.

The adaptation follows an inspirational story of identical twin siblings bound together by a common journey. One girl is living at St. Peter's Home for Gifted Children, an orphanage in Santa Maria, Bulacan; however, she experiences a painful life of bullying in her former school. The other enjoys a typical teenage life with her adoptive mother and studies at Manuel Novicio Lacuesta University, an elite prestigious school in Metro Manila that caters to brilliant students with various personalities. A series of unexpected events prompts them to embark together on a much-awaited grand adventure that inspires millions of youth for generations.

NOTE: This novel introduces characters named after First Generation idols of Philippine girl group MNL48 (Manila Forty-Eight), a subsidiary/sister group of Japan's idol group AKB48.
