Living in a SuperPowered world was hard.
But living in a SuperPowered world without one was harder.

Izuku learned the hard way that the quirkless were treated worse than the dirt people walked on. because that at least had a use. they were bred and tamed into believing that they were the scum of the planet. useless. unwanted. trash.

so when the suicide rates of quirkless people skyrocketed with the rise of superpowers it was a 'huge' surprise. almost 87% of all quirkless people born in the recent generations had committed suicide, note that is was usually by overdoes so they wouldn't have to burden anyone by making a bloody mess, and the older generations would often hide in their own house so they wouldn't be bothered.

when 'that' day came, Izuku truly realized that he was useless. Useless meant that he had no purpose. that fact was ingrained into his mind. Useless, Quirkless, DEKU. he knew that without a quirk he was nothing to this world. without a purpose, he was nothing to the world. so the world became nothing to him, and he set out to find his purpose.
