Con la llegada de una persona muy querida para Ishida Uryuu, se desatarán una serie de aventuras que afectarán precisamente a la persona menos esperada: el Shinigami Sustituto Kurosaki Ichigo. Envuelto en un mundo en el que shinigamis y quincys parecen destinados a vivir en permanente conflicto, Ichigo descubrirá que solo él y la persona recién llegada serían capaces de cambiar tal destino para bien. Pero... nadie dijo que sería sencillo. Maldad, intereses contrapuestos, dudas, celos y sentimientos que no deberían existir en esa situación se verán involucrados para obstaculizar su camino hacia su objetivo final: lograr la paz definitiva entre ambos bandos, cumpliendo así el sueño de Ishida Souken.
