Malia Brown is a junior year high school student who was diagnosed of Lymphoma at age 10. Now that she's on the brink of turning 16, she finds out that she has a year to live due to the loopholes in her chemotherapy caused by the financial instability she faces alongside her mum and little brother after her father's abrupt departure. Her best friend, Justin Brandon finds an old bucket list of Malia's and decides that it's his mission to make Malia have a memorable last year.

Will Malia complete the bucket list before her time's up? Will she discover a new side of herself during the quest to finish the bucket list?
