I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. I had been running for what felt like hours. My legs were burning, and I knew my body was about to give out. The tears that had long since dried still clung to my face. I was covered in bruises and cuts from tearing through the forest. Everything hurt-not just my body, but my heart as well. Just hours ago, I was at a motel with my mom, arguing about dinner, and now she was gone. She killed herself to protect me. That's what I keep telling myself, but deep down, I know it's not true. She was tired of running, tired of hiding. The hunters were close, too close, and to avoid being captured and tortured again, she decided to exit on her own terms. I had to get out of here fast. "Well, Unfreeze the OOC!" He demanded with a malicious grin on his face. He had to have his revenge. But most important of all, he had to be the one incharge of his characters. "......." The system shivered at his words, its invisible eyes bulging out. Unbeknownst to him, a GOD had embarked on a journey to a portal of unknown origin right at the time when he was entering a new world.
