Walking along the dirt road, the rain poured viciously over head as the thunder roared in anger. Each raindrop falling onto my hat and sliding down against my face. Each step felt like needles in my legs.
The pain was unbearable. I didn't know how long I've been walking but I felt like I could give up at any minute. Like my legs would give in and I would fall face first into the dirty mud.
That's exactly what happened. My knees gave out and hit the ground first and next my body fell. My head splashed on the mud as it hit the dirt road. I couldn't even groan from the pain in my body after hitting the ground or even the loss of energy and nutrients. The last thing I heard was the sound of trampling horse hooves.
