Phil Lester is a shy, nerdy boy who is vulnerable and easily manipulated by his friend, PJ Liguori, into making terrible YouTube videos as a side project for college. Phil knows how terrible these videos are but PJ is his best friend so what can he do?
Dan Howell is different. He's bolder, more alive and exciting (if still rather nerdy.) But Dan has his own problems. Big problems. Despite this, he can see Phil's real passion for YouTube and he can tell that PJ's videos aren't meant for him.
When their paths meet, Dan offers Phil help and friendship which develops into something more than either boy could ever imagine.
Will Phil become brave like a lion and stand up for what he believes or will he struggle onwards with PJ and potentially lose Dan?
