Book 8 revolves around the discovery and control of the Holy Stone, a scared relic that grants a single wish to the bearer, but is also rumoured to be cursed.

The Grand Duke of Pyria, an independent realm not part of the Occultorian Empire, wants it in order to become Emperor himself. The Bishop of Magicka wants it to enrich himself. Duchess Elizabeth of Magicka wants it to make the Emperor fall in love with her daughter, so that Princess Sanchia would once again become the future Empress of Occultoria. And Emperor Max wants it in order to reunite the whole Empire.

But in order to acquire it, Max is faced with a difficult decision: he must sacrifice a small number of innocent people for the greater good.

Is Emperor Max going to take the easy way out and make such a sacrifice? Or is there another way?

Born into the prestigious and feared House of Black, Cassiopeia Walburga Black is not just the eldest daughter of Walburga and Orion-she is their first heir. From the moment of her birth, Cassiopeia is trapped under the crushing weight of her family's dark legacy, forced to embody the pure-blood ideals of an ancient, unforgiving lineage. Within the cold, shadowed halls of Grimmauld Place, her childhood is anything but innocent. Taught advanced magic beyond her years and molded by her father's obsession with dark magic, Cassiopeia grows up in an environment that offers neither warmth nor love. Her parents, publicly poised and superior, are privately cruel and demanding, shaping her into a tool for the Black family's ambitions. While other children dream of freedom, Cassiopeia's world is one of strict obedience, wandless magic drills, and relentless expectations. As her parents' cold hands guide her every step, Cassiopeia begins to realize that her greatest battle may not be against the darkness of the magical world-but against the darkness that has taken root within her own home. A tale of trauma, power, and survival, this story delves into the shadowed life of a child born into a family where love is a luxury, and power is everything. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marauders era Being updated regularly First book in the duology (I do not own any Harry Potter original characters or plots.
