{Tormented nearly to a point of breaking as the new squire of Ladanor, Ayan soon finds himself in a nasty predicament as the news of fire-beasts spreads across the land. Should he stick to Ladanor's side until he himself can become a knight, or should he heed the cries of help, as the beast's fires threaten to consume the country?}

This whole thing started in February and I finally finished it in August. you better be proud. Secondly, the name was inspired by Robert E. Howard's story Red Nails. )

When Umi's beloved husband Shani is grabbed by the Soulbiters, he is prepared to do anything to save him from the gruesome fate that awaits if he is bitten. Anything at all. Even strike a horrible bargain with the beasts.

Luckily, or maybe unfortunately, they ignore Virgil for the most part since he was adopted. When they cross paths with the humans, things get a bit... messy.
