Urik lived in a world that marked time by the cycles of the moon, in particular the coming of the Sixth Moon.  The rising of the sixth full moon brought the return of the creature they called simply The Beast to terrorize their village.  Vertan was nestled into the mountainside just north of the Long Valley.  The people of Vertan were farmers and herdsmen with a small number of traders who carried timber and pelts to the river villages and port cities.  Rodric, the elder priest of the village God House, stumbled upon old texts that reveal secrets that mean what they believed, as their history, may not be completely true, and The Beast may not be the monster it seemed.All Rights Reserved
