I had no use to talk. All I had to do was growl and they would back off. Right? Wrong. They continued stalking forward towards me. I began to panic. Lunging forward I growled as I leapt over them attempting to escape. I landed where I wanted to and took off sprinting, zig-zagging as I went. I found a creek and dipped in to help cover my scent. Continuing with my sprint, I eventually found a hole in the ground large enough that I could fit through and hopefully escape. I took the chance and dashed in. Circling around I, eventually, was able to relax. Not for long, I heard growling outside. Not sure if they found me, I tensed, baring my teeth. Apparently they shifted because I could hear them talking in their human form about how to get me out of the hole. Knowing that they knew where I was and they I had no way out, I laid down. I was snugging with my tail covering my nose, enjoying the last bit of freedom before they would be throwing me into a cage.All Rights Reserved

I could see what was going on but I was just that voice in the back of your head. My wolf put her front right paw on the rogue's chest and dug her claws into his chest making it long and painful, as she reached his heart she dug them deeper till his heart stopped beating. Every time I tried to stop, something clenched in my stomach, instinctual and feral. It compelled me to move. Sometimes it felt like it was pulling me in the opposite direction, back the way I came. That feeling I ignored - nothing short of demonic possession could convince me to go anywhere near that forest ever again. It wouldn't be nearly long enough that I would realize I hadn't imagined that pull. That some invisible force was compelling me towards that man. To Nate. When I did realize, I made sure I used it to keep running in the opposite direction of wherever it told me to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Picture this: you're a 17 year old werewolf. Your Alpha, under false counsel, believes your entire family instigated a failed coup so he kills your parents, and you're next. Your options are basically die now, or turn rogue and die anyways. What do you choose - swift and painless, or drawn out and lonely? If you answered, "Neither," then you'd be correct. I didn't anticipate, though, that one bad theft in the beginning was going to send a ripple that would come back to haunt me in unimaginable ways.
