Opening with a story of Mei and Yuzu's early university days, we follow Mei's point of view as she faces a whole new experience: Not being the top dog. Without the protection of Aihara Academy and the assured social status that brings, Mei finds herself feeling exposed, having to navigate social situations many people take for granted. This first features mainly Mei's POV. I've done my best to write Mei as I see her, being someone who is quietly very contemplative inwardly, all so she give short and to the point answers. Being somewhat uncomfortable with conversations, I imagine she might have a lot of personal challenges and I wanted to draw them out. Will Mei be able to make friends without incident? Do the members of the Aihara board of directors still have a ship on their shoulder for "The Heretical Witch"? Is Yuzu a serious student who can continue to dedicate herself to her studies for the sake of love? Well, you'll just have to read and find out!
