My soul... My soul is transmigrated into the body of a side character who's never even had the proper appearance in the novel. We'll meet the same fate. But that's okay, genuinely alright, because Celine dies of suicide and I did too! Err... Almost did.

Everything about my situation is suspicious, but the only thing I can really care about right now is to stop the future death of my beloved second male lead who becomes a villain! 
If he doesn't meet the female lead in the fountain of love, he will not fall in love with her.

And if that happens, I'll be satisfied enough to watch from the sidelines as the drama around the main characters starts. All I have to do is make sure to keep Kruess as the crown prince's friend.

That isn't so hard, right?

He caresses my face gently with his rough injured arms. His yellow eyes stared at my green ones. In that moment, it felt like we both didn't have a time limit.

As if our inevitable miserable fate won't happen.

It's not like both of us were in denial. We fully knew what was going to happen. But at this moment, everything is forgotten. With him, I'd want to forget everything.

His expression is relaxed. As if he found the miracle drug that would save him from his addiction. 

It was us against this story, and even though both of us are fated to die a grim death, I'll be the one to make sure none of that happens; even if it cost another one's life or mine.

I'll make sure that I won't be the hopeless side character and you won't be the lonely villain anymore. So, let's live for a while, okay?

Have you ever had one of those terrible yet annoyingly pivotal moments? You know, that monumental fragment of time that flips everything you have ever known. That plot twist second that completely takes you by surprise. The one just before the storm hits and everything goes to hell. Yes? Because you see, that moment happens to be my whole damn life. It wasn't always like this though. I used to have a pretty mundane existence, happy to just get good grades and be around my friends. God I wish I could get that simplicity back, I'd never complain it was boring again. But I know I'm not going to ever get back my old life because well... I died. (Kinda) But I woke up. And I was thrilled, beyond grateful I wasn't dead. But then I realized that there was one minor detail that had changed about my reality. I was given the chance to live but it turns out I woke up as the villainess in an otome game my friend used to be obsessed with - Kingdom of freaking Hearts (I added the freaking in there for effect, it's just Kingdom of Hearts) Where, for the record, the villainess only has two possible endings 1) execution and 2) getting exiled. So Fate was like, "Don't worry, I'll save you. Here's a chance to live" and then was like "psyche, screw you. You're still going to die but I'll let you suffer a little first." So now, if only to annoy Fate by proving it wrong, I am determined to survive. I can and I will if I play by these simple rules: 1) Befriend Heroin 2) Avoid Aryn Edwards at All Costs as well as other capture targets And 3) Be the top student at the academy and become an invaluable asset to my Kingdom so I become indispensable, thus unkillable. I'm determined, stubborn, persistent and I will live passed 16. Fate made a big mistake setting me up to die. Since it threw this plot twist at me, I figure I'll return the favor. After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. Until one day I discovered I wasn't just a background figure; instead I was an insignificant character who'd end up being the villainous Grand Duke's secretary, only to die shortly after being near him! But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully.
