Heather Kleis, a teenager in her last year of highschool. A girl full of optimism and bright ideas, an intelligent and caring person despite her background.

Her mother is a widow as her father abandoned them during her younger years. Her father was a crazed scientist who experimented on her older brother who has passed away due to his body being weak against the cruel experiments of his parent.

Heather lives in a world wherein humanity can't trust themselves no more. A world where unlits are created using the negative emotions caused by many factors in everyone's daily lives.

Unlits are humanoid creatures that prey on a human's heart and mind, devouring their flesh and organs without hesitation. These creatures are originally created by an anonymous scientist who was longing for his late wife who died from lung cancer. He made a contract with otherworldly beings to resurrect her body from the earth. Even though his wife has been resurrected, her mind and soul has been engulfed with a large amount of humanity's hatred and spite around the globe. Slowly becoming an entity that spawns creatures like her, losing herself in the process as she devoured her own family whole.

Humanity has made some pact with otherworldly beings as well to protect themselves from this man-eating monsters, becoming light bearers that slay these creatures for a living with powers gifted to them by celestial entities.

Heather, herself, wants to become a light bearer and avenge her uncle who died from protecting her family from a massacre years back. Knowing her mother wouldn't agree with her wishes, she had to keep her training a secret from her loved ones.
