The mountains cracked and trees fell from their roots as a dragon darker than coal, with eyes that told of madness and pain broke from the mountain.
She rose higher than forty men, with a wingspan double her own length. Her whole body was covered in pitch-black scales except for her back, which held gems of a thousand colors and
She breathed a flame dark as shadow that burnt forests, causing many to freeze or run in fear.
This was the mother dragon, and death was her companion.

I cocked my head at the unfamiliar term. "Indeed. They roam everywhere outside of my kingdom. They threaten our very existence." She sighed, deeply troubled. "Dark Dragons are what we call multi-element dragons, and all of them are marked with a red symbol, of course it varies how it looks with each one..." I sat upright, and tightened my stomach muscles. The Story of Midnight
"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?Compleet

But as Xaz learns more about Phantom and about his mysterious friend, Jake, she wonders if finding him would even be for the better. As they search, Xaz and Phantom quickly find themselves in the thick of a conflict long in the making, and a scheme that could spell doom for them all.Compleet

The dragon girl (Completed)
Suddenly there was a huge roar. I take a step back covering my ears, my head spins, it is so loud I can't hear myself think. I stand at the mouth of the cave that yawns wide open on the side of a cave. Its big, bigger than a mountain lion bigger than a bear. And I am about to walk into it's cave. But I HAVE to find out what it is. What if there IS a dragon? It will eat me for sure. but I keep going, I just need to make sure it doesn't see me. I walk to this opening as the path split in two edging me across the wall. I will be careful, silent, it will never know I was even here. There is a rocky cliff side and a drop. I look up from my thought and my eyes lock with gleaming golden eyes. I freeze every muscle in my body locks and I can't move. Towering taller than a building stands something I never thought could exist. A dragon. My heart pounded in my ears as my blood ran cold.Compleet
Forest eyes
I locked eyes with it. Its amber gaze pierced through me, like it could smell my fear. There was something ancient in that gaze, something that stirred an unsettling feeling deep in my gut, a sensation I couldn't quite shake. Its claws scraped against the earth, long and curved, leaving deep marks in the fresh dirt as it moved closer. I could hear its paws thud against the ground, massive and deliberate, each step sending another shock of terror through me. The silence that followed was unnerving, heavy in the air, but then a loud crack shattered the stillness. It came from the forest-close, too close. The beast whipped its head back to the forest, quickly turning his whole body around so I was behind him. The shock from him turning so fast made me stumble a few feet backwards. The ground beneath us seemed to shift as it suddenly lunged forward, its muscles rippling with terrifying power. With one mighty leap, it vaulted over the rotting wooden fence, clearing the barrier effortlessly. The impact of its landing shook the earth beneath my feet. I staggered again, trying to keep my balance as I watched the creature, now free, pause on the other side of the fence. It cocked its head backwards meeting my gaze one final time. Then, without another notice, it darted into the forest, disappearing into the darkness like a shadow swallowed by night. I stood there, my body still trembling, staring at the empty space where the creature had been. The night had swallowed it whole. And though the sounds of the forest returned, soft and distant, the terror of that moment lingered. Was it still out there? Watching? Waiting? My eyes darted back and forth in the forest, trying to see it still hung around. I didn't know, but I couldn't shake the feeling that this encounter, this creature, was only the beginning.
