Alexander Hamilton and College shouldn't be in the same sentence. It never was. The son of a whore and Scotsman, the orphan of Nevis, the boy who survived the hurricane, going to King's College. No one expected it, no one thought of it, yet it happened.

John Laurens, the son of a lawyer, expected to outlive his father's legacy as a lawyer. Throughout his life, nothing ever seems to work out well for him. But when he's sent to King's College, things change.

Both are poor, both are weak, and both never fell in love.
