Emiko Izumi was born quirkess, or so it seamed. Because of her lack of a quirk, she was mistreated by her parents and often bullied. When suddenly her hidden quirk emerges, in full force. She is unable to control her ability, which at first leaves her mistaken for a villain, but later leads to Mr Aizawa taking her under his care and training her.
Todoroki seems to hate her at first, but ends up helping the girl to master her abilities. The two, with time, become good friends. Their friendship later develops into something more.
