Tati is one of the highly coveted and hunted hybrids of Wolfeen. There is a price on her head, and she was already sold to a breeding house once but she escaped.
There are only two known hybrids on the planet of Wolfeen.

She was abducted from Earth by an alien species known as the Ghoul who conduct inhumane experiments on humans in the name of the almighty dollar for a woman named Andrea Webb, former director of the agency K9 before her illegal trafficking of altered humans was revealed by K9 agents.

Apparently much like the female Wolfreen, the human hybrids altered with Wolfeen DNA react exactly the same as born Wolfeen's. Only to a much more dangerous degree.
When a hybrid meets their fated mate, they go into heat, and because they can't handle it, if they aren't mated quickly the heat can cause permanent damage to their brain function, internal organs, and even death.
As if that threat isn't enough, Webb is still hunting the hybrids under K9 protection.
