After defeating the enemy organization SPYDER, Ben Ripley finally thinks that his life will go back to normal: Or at least, as normal as attending the top-secret CIA academy of espionage can be. Then, a bomb goes off in the middle of class. Worse yet, Erica Hale, his friend and the person he trusted most at school, seems to be responsible.
(This will basically be my take on the description Stuart Gibbs [the original author and owner of the Spy School series] gave out for his next book coming out in October. Hope you enjoy!)

Life has moved on from the past thrilling adventure that Ben and Erica had undertook with newborn Emma. Ben and Erica have settled down nicely into jobs and were focusing on raising their child to be the next superspy in the Hale legacy. But that gets thrown off the tracks when Ben and Erica have to come out of retirement on a new mission. What will happen to Emma this time? Can the Hales figure out their mysterious foe that no one seems to know about? Will they all survive? Benjamin Ripley was learning fast. He is the second best spy in training in the entire school, just ahead of Joshua Hallal, and behind the most amazing spy and girl he's ever met, Erica Hale. He quickly falls in love with her, but isn't quite sure how she feels about him. Ben is hurt when all his friends have prom dates but him, even Erica. He's even more heartbroken when Erica is going with Joshua, who is a complete jerk, especially to Ben and his friends. Ben suspects she shouldn't trust Joshua, and she pushes him away saying he's a bad friend. Just when he's as hurt as he thinks he can take and wanting to end it all, Erica comes in crying. Joshua cheated on her like Ben predicted. Ben wants to kill Joshua for hurting her so bad. Will there be a big fight? Erica apologizes but will their friendship heal, or maybe even grow to be more than just a friendship? Ben Ripley is a spy-in-training at the CIA's Academy of Espionage. In his short time there he's had a lot of success, but made many enemies in the process. He just wants to find some balance in his personal life, but the bad guys just won't cut him any slack. They've got big plans for him. Background I would like to become a better writer, and I am using the Spy School series for practice. I really like the way Stuart Gibbs writes, and I fully admit I am trying hard to copy his style. I don't know if I was successful or not. Hopefully, some of you will enjoy this short half-novel. I know it probably starts a little slow, but it does pick up. At least, I am having fun writing it.
