You don't learn how to become a captain of a very roudy but trustworthy crew overnight. It takes years and years of mistakes, and memories of blood and death drilled into your head.

Captain Donovan is known as one of the deadliest pirates on the seven seas...not because he steals, but because he kills for what he wants. Donovan may or may not have forgotten what it took to have everything he has now, but his hunger for more could cost him everything.

Rumors of a ship with expensive pearls beyond any mans imagination gets Donovan unhealthy obsessed -- and this obsession toys with his whole difference between reality and fantasy. There is just one thing that obstructs his goal, he can't tell the difference between a faux and a real pearl. The only option he has is a gorgeous but penniless pearl diver girl named Nika.

As far as Donovan is concerned, all he really needs is her brains....though who says a beauty with brains can't cause mayhem to him, his crew and his heart? Everything seems like fun and games to Donovan, but will he truly realise the price he has to pay for something he could never have?
