Miami is an icon in her school. Pretty, popular, cute boyfriend, great body. Many girls are jealous. But her boyfriend thinks she doesn't love him. Because she doesn't love herself. For years, she's had depression, anxiety, and anorexia. But she manages to hide it from everyone. However, when Anne Cherry joins her school, everything changes.

Owen was born a girl. Like every other kid, he was brought up thinking that he was supposed to like boys. And he did. But not in the way people thought. See, Owen's accepting girlfriend thought he didn't love her. Because she thought that he was lesbian. But really, he always felt that he didn't belong in his body. Owen felt like a guy. But he liked guys. Just guys. But everything changed when Anne Cherry joined the school.

When he told his parents that he was transgender, they shunned him. Miami didn't like it. So they ran away. Now, they're in the foster care system, freshman, and with a new family. The Oaks. However, the twins collide when the two struggling teens are in love with the same person. But what happens when the person has a secret of her own?
