Angel Reyes comes from a very powerful family, just like the Malfoys, and joins Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry.
She meets Draco Malfoy and immediately becomes friends with him, and go through the Hogwarts years together.

The space between us disappeared. "Scared of what he'll say?" His hot breath was vexing, in both agony and tone. My eyes narrowed at his assumptions that I cared enough. "Aren't you scared of what I'll do?" My eyes casted down to the wand he didn't see slide up. It was pointed at the firm hand on my throat. "You've always underestimated me, Malfoy."
