The only way he will be able to leave is if the mortal comes to the realization that the god of sleep has infiltrated his dreams. Hypnos is only able to be in contact with the mortal when she is in some state of unconsciousness, that isn't exact, considering the mortals mental state
Aida Drakos, an insomniac in her fourth year of college, is studying to become an aerospace engineer and unknown to her, the god of sleep has infiltrated the precious hours of unconsciousness she has. Robbing her of her few hours of sleep and restoring it to nil, depleting her very ability to function.
