Amelia Parker was shooting to represent the U.S. in the Olympics as a figure skater until she suffered a severe foot injury that basically jeopardized her entire figure skating career. With all her new free time from not training anymore, she spent a lot more time with her best friend Connie and her hockey friends. When Connie's team gets a new coach and is looking to recruit new players, Connie immediately suggests Amelia. Amelia, however, knows little to nothing about hockey and doesn't want to waste her nor the team's time learning how to play. With the thought of a more fatal injury looming in the back of her mind, she refuses to get back on the ice until she watches one of Connie's games and realizes the teamwork in hockey and decides to give hockey a try.
