Mia, is just your average David Bowie-Labyrinth obsessed girl, depressed with anxiety.
One night, Mia and her horrible mother, are driving through the countryside, at midnight, Mia sobbing herself dry in the back of the car- wishing Jareth and the Labyrinth was all real, wishing David Bowie wasn't dead, attempting to wish herself away, when suddenly, the most gorgeous Barn Owl perches on a large beautiful oak-tree across the road.

While Mia thinks it's Jareth, because she wished herself away, Her Mother thinks Mias gone CRAZY. So Crazy, that her mother has the guts to take Mia to the doctors, Lie so horribly that Mia gets prescribed at least 10 different pills a-day.
Her Mother would make her daughter COMPLETELY MISERABLE just to have a normal daughter, one that DOESN'T like Jareth, Labyrinth or Bowie. None of it.

The pills are not doing anything, but worsen Mias depression and anxiety, so one night, Mia finds herself sobbing in her room, in the worst state she's EVER been in, and she wishes herself away, saying the correct words and all.

As soon as she says the words, she laughs at her stupidity, still hopeful that Jareth would come, but she continued to laugh, through her pained-tears and she knelt on the ground, When suddenly, A familiar barn owl sweeps itself into Mias bedroom, perching next to her, and in seconds, A puff of glitter explodes, and there he is.
