As the Jedi Kosan Vaib struggles to recover from the Great Jedi Purge, he spends his time in search of other surviving Jedi. When he finds a sect of Jedi living in an outer rim he goes on a quest to join them and fight against the new Empire. But will his new apprentice's feelings cloud his judgment?

Star Wars Episode I: THE RESURGENCE OF THE JEDI
Over the past few months, I have been developing an original Star Wars trilogy. Finally, it has come together in a brand new story. A brand new timeline, but still in the galaxy far far away. I wrote this like a movie, not like a book, thinking it would be epic to one day see on screen. From the characters to the brand new locations, this trilogy offers a fresh new take on the Star Wars universe, while still keeping the elements from the source material we know and love. This is part one of a three part story. If a woman brought down my faith in one, I suppose it is only right a woman would bring down the other, too. But, I'm better this time. Older. Experienced. Knowledgeable. I wouldn't give up everything for a woman again, right? Wrong. You see, with Padmé, I feared the danger she put herself in. But, after a nasty explosion, Malidictus is frozen in Carbonate, and three thousand years later....he is freed, and once he learns of the empire's fall, his ideals and goals, change. What will he do when he gains an apprentice, and focuses on reforming the once, great, empire? Force Destiny
Immediately following the events of The Last Jedi, the battle for the galaxy continues between the First Order and the last of the Resistance. As the new Supreme Leader takes the throne, the First Order is focused on finding and destroying all who oppose them. The Resistance had disappeared into hiding and desperation has forced them to explore the gray areas of war. Meanwhile, on opposite sides of the war, Rey and Kylo Ren are forced to face the realities of their bond, their complicated relationship, their loyalty to their causes, and their understanding of the Force. Could their star-crossed connection be tied to the fate of the galaxy? This is a slow burn! Enemies to friends to lovers. This story continues the arcs and themes beautifully woven through The Last Jedi, as well as the narrative from the previous two trilogies. It was completed in December 2019 on A03 before The Rise of Skywalker was released, so this is not a "fix-it" fic as much as an alternative to Episode IX. This is a dark story.
