I blink away the shock and start opening my eyes again, my heart throbbing in my ears, loud and irregular, but I barely hear it as my mind clouds with fear. Burning at the foot of my bed is a ring of electric fire, the flames licking the floor as it pulses awake causing the smell of smoke to fill the room.
A tall, lean silhouette emerges from it, his face covered in darkness only allowing me to see the white of his eyes, causing the fear to grow strong as he outstretches his arm.
I stare at the figure, disbelief decorating my expression. Something like this, it can't be possible.
"Atlas!" the man shouts desperately; his voice dark and authoritative.
