War, war never changes.
The year is 2161. Earth is scarred from the effects of a nuclear war and the survivors faced with new and horrifying threats.
Many that were lucky enough made it to underground 'Vaults'. A self sustained city sized safe haven - sealed in from the burning world above. Some vaults opened after some years, others remained sealed. And from Vault 13 comes a hero - The Vault Dweller. But that is not our story, our story follows a man two steps behind and sometimes one step ahead of said hero. Captain Decker. A normal man with normal problems. Froze with the inhabitants of Vault 23, a research facility - for 84 years.
From a world at war and sent into a world of terrors, this normal man becomes legend, but the path is not always righteous. The harsh new towns that have emerged and the violent new world awaits...
*This was written 16 years ago and way before Fallout 3 came out. It has massive inconsistencies and contradictory facts to the game franchise*

The world has seen many technological advances since the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which was both a blessing and a curse. The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts. Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. Humans and Anthros lived in peace and harmony on the earth for hundreds of years. The United Anthro Nations (UAN) sought to unite all races of anthros and build a stronger relationship with humans. An era of peace and prosperity came over the earth. That is until the year 2037 when a terrorist group called the Fangs attacked the UAN and started a worldwide war. The UAN instantly declared war on the Fangs and fought furiously to destroy them. The Humans on the other hand said they wanted to remain neutral and not take any side. The UAN respected this and even tried to safeguard and protect the humans by place ing any and all humans they found in safe camps. The Fangs didn't care for humanity and would kill any human they came across and, in some cases capture and experiment on them. After the Fangs attacked and destroyed all the western hemisphere camps. Along with all the camps in South America Humanity claimed that the UAN couldn't protect them and cut off all ties with them. Now Humanity is in hiding and even is starting to attack both UAN and Fang forces that get too close. Now the year is 2057 and, the Human race has all but vanished while the fangs now control most of Europe and are slowly winning the fight in America. The UAN leadership ordered that any humans found were to be taken to a military base for care and protection. And they only hoped they could rebuild what they once had before the war. (P.S.
