Must the Flowers Die

16 parts Complete

Mia Tao's life in small-town South Carolina is ordinary. She dreams of studying fashion design in New York, and, occasionally, of kissing her best friend since childhood, Alex. Then Liam Morrison moves to town. Beautiful, intelligent, supportive, Liam seems like the perfect man. But Liam isn't in town by accident. Millennia ago, powerful sorceresses formed a coalition with nymphs to banish the gods back to Olympus for their cruel and destructive abuse of power. Now, Olympus is collapsing, and Liam, the demi-god son of a mortal and Artemis, has been tasked with re-opening the gateway between the mortal world and Olympus. If he fails, everyone on Olympus dies. If he succeeds, it unleashes the capricious gods to once again wreck havoc on the lives of mortals. This mission puts him in direct collision course with Alex, whose family are descendants of the sorceresses who expelled the gods and bound by duty and magic to prevent their return. As Mia begins to love Liam, she is pulled into a fated battle between two supernatural factions, with Liam on one side and Alex on the other. Alliances form and break as the creatures and beings long subordinated by human development rise to reclaim power and protect their own. Mia is not only torn personally, but also morally. In a situation where some must suffer for others to live, how does she choose a side?
