The Battle of Hogwarts is over...but what happens next? As the dust settles, Hermione tries to figure out her next move. Surely whatever she has planned isn't going to involve her sworn enemy, Draco Malfoy.

*Comprehensive Summary*
Hermione is struggling with what seems to be the end of an era. Her relationships are changing, as are her views of the world. She stumbles upon an opportunity to teach at Hogwarts - return to the place where it all began. Unfortunately for her, she is not the only one graced with a teaching position at the prestigious school. Enter Draco Malfoy - the last person on earth she wants to see, as the school's new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor. The irony is not lost on her.

The two find it difficult to coexist, primarily owing to their hostile past. But when strange events begin to take place at Hogwarts once again, the two begin to build a real and comforting friendship. Wrapped up in the mysteries of the castle and bonded by their mutual attempts to cope in the wake of trauma, they form an unlikely and, at times, vulnerable alliance.
