Mokoto Naegi got randomly selected to attend Hope's Peak Academy, the school for the most famous and talented teenagers in in all of Japan. But something's not right. When he arrives, he (and his fellow classmates) learn something horrible. The school... it doesn't exist. It's a facade for the infamous dark web show that plays behind its walls. Act for the cameras, because the least-liked student gets "voted off" (and then publicly executed) each week. Can Mokoto and his newfound friends make it out before they get put on the chopping block? Rather, can they even get out at all?
