What would you do if the world came to an end? About a year into the earth dying, Finnegan Ray Jackson has become a thief who doesn't care about anybody. But what if that all changed? After two run-ins with some Groupers, his view on this post-apocalyptic world changes for a bit. And maybe even forever.

When the apocalypse comes around, everything collapses. Who can they trust in a world where their own friends are after them? What will they do to fight back? OCs from the Universal Inconstants series. Also, the style for this story is different, and tenses will often change randomly in sentences. Characters are 16-17 years old in the events of the story. Another side note, Eric and Cartman are two different personalities within one person, a form of D.I.D.. I am not a mental health professional, so it may be inaccurate. I don't know who the cover is by, but if someone knows, please tell me so I can credit this amazing artist!Complete

Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. The Way It Is
I am not from this planet. Hell, I am technically not from this galaxy. However, that doesn't change the fact I am here now, and my job is to save what I can on this forsaken planet and what's left of its inhabitants. The problem is that not everyone wants to be saved. I know what you're thinking. You can't save those who don't want to be saved. I bloody well agree. The ones who sent me don't care what you or I think, though. All they care about is numbers. They need a certain success rate to continue to get funding for their "expeditions" and "peacekeeping" efforts. I use both terms loosely here. However, that's what they put on their records, and it's what sounds good and looks suitable to their investors. So this is the way it's going to be. So be it! Oh, did I forget to mention the Universe decided I was the lucky girl to help find the one person who could save us all from self-destruction? Yea, that is a shitty idea, but once again, no one cares what I think.Complete
