Xisuma has the power to rewind/reset the server and everyone's memories over and over. No one knows untill a bug glitches into the server as he resets it. Everyone remembers every reset and blames him. All untill he tries to reset it one last time, causing the small bug to turn into huge curruption in everyone and the server. Eveything turning into nothing but a currupted mess they can't leave from.
The server then was split into two groups. The glitches. And the survivors. The two groups stayed in different sides of the server at first, understanding the damage they could end up doing to each other if they didn't. But the glitches grew hungry for the power, the anger and aggressiveness in them growing, the only way to stop it was to satisfy it. And so they did.

Xisuma didn't really pay any mind to the ding, as it was common for the hermits to chat using the comms system. It's the sudden flood of messages afterwards that startled the admin greatly.
