Zafia just wanted a break. A month to breathe to let her soul breathe. At her software company, she was always the "cheerful one" - quick with a smile, always saying yes. But behind the bubbly act was someone tired. Tired of doing everyone else's work. Tired of staying late, pretending she wasn't drowning. She needed to disappear just for a while. When she found Soulnest, a month-long retreat for overworked professionals, it felt like a lifeline. A place to heal, to stay invisible. Then came Zafar - sharp-tongued, confident, and everything she didn't want to deal with. He was calm on the outside, but something stormed inside him. He noticed too much. He asked questions she didn't want to answer. And yet, something about her drew him in. Maybe it was her quiet courage. Or maybe, he saw a little too much of himself in her. "What happened? You keep looking at me." He said. "Uh, nothing... I mean, I wasn't-I didn't mean to... I was just... you know... writing." She said. Their story starts with small moments - awkward glances, shared silences, missed chances. And just when Zafar starts to feel something real, someone else steps in. Bilal Aslam, their mentor at Soulnest, was admired by everyone. Warm smile, perfect words, and a way of making people feel seen. Everyone trusted him. Except Zafia. She felt uneasy - like there was something hidden behind his charm. "No matter how hard you try to hide it, I can see right through your eyes." Bilal said, stepping closer. ____ Zafiya's insecurities. Zafar's temper. Bilal's hidden motives. All of it is about to collide. Will Zafiya embrace herself? Will Zafar be able to protect the fragile bond they're starting to form, or will his anger destroy it? Will silence push them apart? Will Bilal's entry make their relationship weaker? Their journey is fragile, unexpected, and tangled in truths neither of them is ready to face. But sometimes, the messiest stories are the ones that heal us. _rs

On the other side, Azeem - an engineer and a man of strong deen - carries his own quiet journey of sabr. Even with family hardships and his father's illness, he never let go of faith. Like Zayba, he held on to tawakkul(faith). And like her, he stayed away from what wasn't written yet. There was a time his heart admired someone... But that chapter remains closed - for now. The plan was simple: press the bell and run. Easy. Except... I didn't even get to touch it. The door opened. I froze. A girl stepped out-older than us, maybe by a year or two. Long straight hair, calm expression. Casual, but perfect. And painfully familiar. Yusuf's sister. From Instagram. From that Eid post. Panic hit. My brain: static. Useless. "Uh... does Beenish aunty live here?" WHO. IS. BEENISH. AUNTY. She blinked. "No." "Okay, sorry! Wrong house. Allah Hafiz!" I spun around and half-tripped my way to the nearest bush-where Zainab had already thrown herself like the absolute traitor she is. I started smacking her. "YOU SAID YOU'D STAY WITH ME!" She was wheezing. "Your face! Oh my God, your FACE!" "I panicked! I asked for a fake aunty!" We were still giggling when- The door creaked again. Slower. Heavier. Zainab's laughter stopped. "Zainab," I whispered. "I think... it's him." I turned-just slightly. And there he was. Saif. Plain black tee, sweatpants, and that same cap from his profile. Tall. Calm. Phone in hand. He looked sharper in real life. Taller too. Like the air around him knew who he was before I did. His eyes scanned the street, slow and aware, like he felt something was off. I forgot how to exist. Zainab leaned in. "He's hotter in real life." "Shut. Up." He hadn't seen us. But I saw him. And seeing him like that-real, breathing, quietly magnetic-was something else. He wasn't just a pixelated post anymore. He was here. And somehow, even across the street, he had that pull. Zainab started poking me. qt qt qt on repeat. I elbowed her so hard she nearly fell. Then-his eyes swept the street. Paused. On a cat. He bent down, gently scratched behind its ears. Like they were best friends reuniting after war. We ducked. Hard. And in that moment, I knew two things: One, I was going to murder Zainab. Two, I was absolutely going to remember this forever. And that's how I met him.
