Jason and Addison were complete strangers with almost opposite lives.


Jason was a normal guy, and wanted nothing more than to be free of his bordering abusive family, to finally not be afraid of what the morning would bring, and spent as much time as he could running away from them and the problems they brought on him.


Addison was famous to her fellow Elementalists, but desperately wanted to know why and how her parents died, leaving their six month old only daughter to grow up checking over her shoulder at every step.


A prophesy about a war of the Elements brings them together, helping Jason learn more about himself than he ever thought he'd know, and teaching Addison that vendettas aren't the way to a happy ending.
