When her best friend, the dark fae king, needs help finding a queen, Emylin, a human, does everything she can for them to meet and fall in love. Thrust into the middle of a struggle for power for the dark throne, Emylin must keep her wits about her to avoid cruel games, being kidnapped and worst of all, losing her heart to the dark fae.

Emylin is a human. Her best friend, Damien, is not. He's the mysterious, handsome King of the Underworld, the dark faerie kingdom. 

Fearing an uprising after his father's untimely death, the newly crowned King Damien must find a Queen quickly before the dark fae of the Underworld uprise and try to steal the throne. He sets his eyes on Leah, Emmy's high school bully, as the ideal candidate.

Emmy must now play matchmaker for her life-long best friend and her bully all while outwitting the dark fae including the next heir to the throne, Damien's power-hungry cousin. He will do anything he can to stop Damien, including sabotaging all of Emmy's plans. 

As Emmy is plunged into the dark fae world, she realizes that not everything is what it seems and murderous plots and palace intrigue can unravel at any moment.
